Its my Birthday tomorrow so I would like to treat you all to a pretty rose!
Thankyou for all your interesting and enlightening blogs, its such a treat to sit and browse through all your Special Days and Thrifty Finds!
To celebrate I would like to do a Birthday Giveaway! Leave me a comment telling me of your favorite flowers and if they have a special meaning to you, and I will do a draw next Monday, the 15th June.
Meanwhile enjoy your rose!
Great excitement on Sunday morning! I went to see my girlies (the rabbits) to give them their feed, to find this - a nest full of pink wriggly little baby rabbits!
How excited was I , I had thought Dusty was expecting, she has been 'nesting' for a few days. Never the less - its a bit hit and miss, especially with it being her first time! Anyway up to now she's doing very well, keeping them nice and warm. You can see the nest in the photo, its a mass of hay and plucked fur. They will soon be out of the nest and running about - all being well - keep your fingers crossed!
With all this girly, baby stuff going on, Dad has had to go and live with the chickens for a while ( I need more hutch space!) - not that he minds, the deep litter is great to dig in!
Good Thrifting finds too, at the carboot sale!
This little metal table I picked up for £1, I am hoping it will just sit outside the door and 'shabby up' some more.
Lovely floaty Hippy dippy, Flower Power dresses! I thought they were pretty spectacular - just imagine what it must have been like living through that era!
And dotty, dotty aprons! there are two of these!
Just look - a Grannie Apron!
This is as new, never been worn, its just the kind I remember my Gran wearing, it goes with the wrinkled stockings and hair in rollers!
Happy Birthday, you sound like you are having lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteFavourite flower is New Dawn Rose as my mum has always grown it in her garden and has now passed it on to me. It is the palest pink with a delicate scent and very very pretty.
can't wait to see pics of those babies!

OOOOO I can't tell you how excited we are that you have baby bunnies!!! I might shove one in my bag when we come a visiting!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having a lovely birthday week and Many Happy Returns for tomorrow. I have many favourite flowers, but my VERY favourite has to be sweetpeas, I love the colours, the frangrance, the names, and they remind me of my Grandads garden and allotment, which were always a riot of colour throughtout the Summer.
Lovely finds, I LOVE the dresses!!

Happy Birthday! - it's mine on Saturday too! so what a good week we'll have.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite flowers are stocks, no particular reason but I love the shape and colours of them.
Happy Birthday! Congratulations on your new arrivals, hope all are doing well. I love peonies, just waiting for one to open in the garden which we planted about 2 years ago but is just flowering for the first time.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite flowers are Lilies - especially white ones

Happy Birthday! hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite flowers are poppies. Any colour any size, they're all great.
I do have 2 particular favourites though, the big red poppies which my Mum has in her garden and I hope I've finally managed to introduce to my garden this year, I love them simply because they remind me of Mum.
My other favourites are the small red field poppies because they remind me of holidays at "poppy field beach" as I called it, or Sandy Bay as it really is but the fields either side were full of poppies. I've just bought a small packet of them on this trip and hopefully I'll get some growing here next summer.
We missed all the car boot sales, we planned on going to Mona on Sunday but the rain was so miserable and our cabin was a little cold so we decided to head back Saturday night instead, you found some great things though, I love the table.
Happy birthday! Your bunnies are lovely.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you .
This is my first visit to your place.
What a wonderful time to stumble upon your blog.
I love your blog it is so much fun.
Everything is truly lovely.
My favorite flower is the yellow rose.
No not because I live in Texas but because My hubby and I eloped one afternoon 25 years ago this coming June 19th and he had the wisdom to buy me some Yellow Roses for my bouquet which he suprised me with.
He made me so happy by remembering my favorite flower .
So anyway I wish you many happy birthdays to come filled with endless joy.
Have a wonderful week.
Birthday hugs to you .
Happy Birthday! hope you have a good day, baby bunnies how exciting!
ReplyDeletemy favourite flower is Wisteria which is flowering in the middle of my garden, the reason being it was one of the last plants my dad grew before he died.
